Today, large washing machines use 20 gallons of water and a significant amount of detergent to remove small stains. With this inefficient process, hotels lose more than $ 10,000 per month.
AquaFresco wants to change the process with its revolutionary filtering system. They are currently conducting a series of tests in a hotel on the island of New Hampshire, to check the quality of the filter and if it can really reach its objectives.
The project is promoted by Alina Rwei, Chris Lai and Sasha Huang, winners of the Water Inovation Prize 2015 competition.
To avoid getting the idea stolen, for now they have not published much information about the operation of the system that can recycle so much water.
Although the solution is focused on midsize hotels, young people are already thinking about applications for commercial, home, military and industrial washing machines.
