How to make solid, homemade and natural aloe vera shampoo

We also saw how to make a natural and liquid shampoo with aloe vera gel, but this recipe is a very easy to use solid shampoo, ideal for example when we go on a trip and it also serves as a body soap.

We have also seen many homemade and natural shampoo recipes, from vinegar and baking soda to more sophisticated recipes.

Today we bring a simple solution that, unlike other methods, does not leave hair dry and also helps with the most common hair problems from hair loss, shine or thickness.

With this solid aloe shampoo, you can wash your hair, leaving it clean, strong and without the use of toxic substances that common cosmetics have.

Ingredients to make the homemade shampoo.

  • 1 stalk (leaf) of Aloe Vera.
  • 1 rosemary leaf (fresh).
  • Half a kilo of glycerin soap.
  • 2 tablespoons of lemon juice.
  • 150 ml of mineral or filtered water.
  • 2 tablespoons of sweet almond oil.

How to prepare this natural shampoo.

In a glass blender or with a mixer or some other kitchen robot we must mix the water, the aloe vera leaf and the rosemary.

Then we place the mixture obtained in a water bath and when it is already hot we gradually add the gilcerine soap, chopped with a knife or grated, so that the lemon and almond oil are finally integrated easier.

When it is well melted, we must place in a rectangular mold, let it harden and cut into small rectangles (it yields more than one bar). You can use waxed paper or similar to wrap the solid and natural shampoo and thus preserve it, it is also ideal to give to our friends.

How to use this homemade shampoo.

Once the hair is moistened, rub the entire area with the solid shampoo and massage gently so that it penetrates to the scalp. Ideally, let it act for between 5 to 15 minutes and then remove by rinsing the hair well with clean water. It is advisable to use it one to three times a week.

It lasts for many months without problems, it can be kept at room temperature and, if possible, not exposed to direct sunlight.

Where to get the ingredients.

The ingredients can be found in natural product stores or even online stores, many such as Rosemary or Aloe Vera should be found in places where plants are sold and kept at home since it has many uses and they even grow indoors and in pots without problems.

If we cannot get fresh Aloe Vera we can buy the gel in natural products stores.

Read the ingredients carefully to see if you are not allergic to any of these and, if possible, test a strand of hair the first time.

If we don't feel like it or just don't want to or can make our own cosmetics and hygiene products, know that there are already many healthier and more natural options on the market, including shampoo bars.

The important thing is, little by little, to substitute harmful chemicals for solutions that are less aggressive to the environment and, of course, to ourselves and our own health.
