Nutritious banana, walnut and carob smoothie

Hot days lend themselves to the consumption and "craving" of cool drinks. We can add that they are also healthy and nutritious such as natural fruit juices, vegetable milks and smoothies.

It is not the classic Banana split (ice cream with banana and usually chocolate and cream) or a shake with cocoa but it is a Banana, milk, walnut and carob smoothie.

The carob is the fruit of a tree and its flour represents a healthy alternative to chocolate due to its sweet taste, its high content of vitamins., its less amount of fat and without stimulant.

In any case, children and those with a sweet tooth are not interested in this information and they simply savor a drink rich with fruit and that looks like chocolate.

Ingredients

  • 4 ripe bananas, about 300 gr
  • 2 tablespoons of carob flour, about 20 gr
  • a handful of walnuts
  • 500 ml of milk, we have used rice milk
  • We do not use sugar because it is not necessary but you could add a little honey, molasses, syrup, stevia, ...

Preparation

We peel the bananas and remove the strands that are loose.

We mix everything with a mixer reducing or adding milk depending on the desired texture.

We cool and enjoy.
