United States - December 1, 2019 - Million Dollar Vegan, a non-profit organization, has asked President Trump to help the United States get healthy again by going vegan for a month and to encourage American citizens to do the same. Led by Evan, president of Animal Hero Kids and an ambassador for Million Dollar Vegan, the organization says it is ready to sign the check within the first hour if the President signals its agreement on Twitter. Donations for this cause are now in trust.
This is the second million dollar offer made by the group this year. In February, Million Dollar Vegan offered the money to Pope Francis if he went vegan during Lent. While that campaign resulted in more than 1,000 articles in the media around the world. The pontiff did not confirm that he would go vegan for Lent. Now that money is being offered to President Trump, with the goal of inspiring people across the United States and the world to question their food choices and improve their health.
The campaign is supported by some of America's leading physicians, including Dr. Dean Ornish, Dr. Caldwell Esselstyn, Dr. Michael Klaper, Dr. Angie Sadeghi, Dr. T. Colin Campbell, Dr. Dr. Joel Kahn and Dr. Neal Barnard. Along with many other medical professionals, they advocate for a plant-based diet to prevent, stop, and reverse some of the nation's top killers.
In a full-page ad written to President Trump in The New York Times, Evan writes: “Cardiovascular disease and stroke already generate more than $ 329 billion in health care costs.
The campaign has the additional support of dozens of American citizens whose lives have been changed, or saved, through a plant-based diet.
Evan says, “We really want President Trump to accept our offer. We want to write that check! But most of all, we want to help make America healthy again, which is why we have some amazing resources available to anyone who wants to go vegan in January. It really isn't that difficult and can do a lot of good. Everyone should try! ”
